Michigan defenseman Owen Power projects to be theNo. 1 pick to Buffalo in the 2021 NHL draft
Owen Power is the No. 1 pick going to the Buffalo Sabres in our preliminary NHL Mock Draft

Here our preliminary first round Mock draft in anticipation of the NHL entry draft on July 23:

1. Buffalo Sabres: Defenseman Owen Power, Michigan, Big Ten

He’s  6-foot-6, been compared to Victor Hedman, and some scouts believe he could contribute next season. Didn’t look out of place at the World Championships.

2. Seattle Kraken: Center Matty Beniers,  Michigan, Big Ten

Seattle general manager  Ron Francis was a versatile, hard-working , two-way  center and that is what he gets with Beniers.
