Detroit Red Wings still interested in signing Luke Glendening

When it comes to knowing when a youngster is ready for the NHL,  a gut feeling is more important than any advanced statistical analysis that can be offered.

“It’s not an exact science,” Detroit Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman said. “You use your experience, a well educated guess.”

Yzerman said you are certain some younger players are going to play because they have been dominant at their previous stop. That’s Moritz Seider who was a beastly performer in the Swedish Elite League and at the World Championships. Yzerman can plan on him playing regularly, and feel confident in that projection.
