Red Wings’ List of Potential Right-shot Forward Options is Underwhelming | DHN+

The Detroit Red Wings don't appear to have room to re-sign Bobby Ryan, but he will find a job this summer.
The Red Wings will be looking for right-shot forwards and Bobby Ryan is still on the list

The fact Luke Glendening hasn’t agreed to a new deal by now suggests he may be heading to the free agent marketplace Wednesday

Even if he does sign, the Red Wings are still in the market for a couple of right-hand shooting forwards. As of this moment, the Red Wings don’t have a single projected regular forward who shoots right-handed. Lucas Raymond is a right-shot forward, but he likely needs more time to develop.

The problem is the free agent market is short on right-shot forwards. Once you get beyond Ryan Getzlaf and Alex Ovechkin who are highly likely to stay with their teams, it’s slim pickings. It’s possible the Red Wings might have to trade for one.
