Duffer’s Dabbles: Blashill On Hot Seat; Tuukka Will Play For Beer; Quinn Hughes Looks To Get Paid
The Hockey News came out with a list of NHL coaches going into the 2021-22 season who are on the hot seat and Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill made the top 10.
“Many believe Detroit will not be notably better in 2021-22 and likely miss the playoffs again – and if there’s a hockey man out there Yzerman feels will be a better fit for this rebuilding team, everyone should expect he hands Blashill his walking papers and moves on without him,” writer Adam Proteau noted.
Tuukka Likes Beer

Vezina Trophy winner Rask, who made $7 million last season, insisted he might even play for the league minimum of $750,000, as long as lots of Buds come with it. Buds, as in Bud Light.
Speaking on The Greg Hill Show during the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radiothon, the 34-year-old unrestricted free agent goalie joked that he may even be willing to play under the league minimum of $750,000 if free Bud Lights were part of his new contract with the Bruins.
Vancouver: The latest on Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes and their contract negotiations with the Vancouver Canucks, through the eyes of player agent Pat Brisson.
San Jose: In real estate news, the home of San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane is for sale. He must have heard that you can more than double your purchase price in this current market.
Washington: A discussion of the expectations for Anthony Mantha during his first full season with the Washington Capitals. Wings fans know all about expectations, Mantha . . . and letdown.
