Lucas Raymond scored in the second period to give the Detroit Red Wings rookies a 3-0 lead vs. Dallas in the NHL Prospect Tournament

Kirill Tyutyayev of Belarus has scored twice to help the Detroit Red Wings take a 5-1 lead against the Dallas Stars after two periods at the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City Thursday.

“He’s been real impressive,” Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said in an interview between periods.

Lucas Raymond, Joe Veleno and Chase Pearson have also scored, but goalie Victor Brattstrom has been Detroit’s best player.

Tyutyayev is a dynamic 150-pound scorer from Belarus. There is considerable curiosity about Tyutyayev because the Red Wings haven’t viewed him as much as they’ve seen the other players.

Jonatan Berggren was noticeable for the Red Wings

Defenseman Moritz Seider, the Red Wings’ most prominent rookie, isn’t playing in the tournament.
