Kevin’s Morning Hash: Former Detroit Red Wing knocks out a Boston Bruin rookie
Former Detroit Red Wings defenseman Dylan McIlrath, now with Washington, knocked out Boston Bruins farmhand Steven Fogarty with an elbow to the chin.
A dazed Fogarty needed help to leave the ice after the incident. McIlrath was ejected on the basis of a five-minute major and game misconduct for a shot to the head.
Boston Hockey Now has the story and video from the Washington-Boston preseason game. McIlrath played 23 games with the Red Wings from 2018-2020.
Trade Rumor
With no progress reported in contract talks between the Calgary Flames and Johnny Gaudreau, his name is going to be front and center in trade rumors. Why should this season be any different.
