The Pittsburgh Penguins will start Tristan Jarry in net today when they play the Detroit Red Wings at noon.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will play some regulars, including goalie Tristan Jarry and defenseman Kris Letang, against the Detroit Red Wings in their noon contest in Pittsburgh.

The Red Wings are 3-0 in the preseason, but haven’t faced as many proven NHLers as they probably would like. Pittsburgh Hockey Now reports the Pens’ lineup will include Brian Boyle, Jake Guentzel, Jason Zucker, Bryan Rust and Danton Heinen and Brock McGinn.

This is an important training camp for the Pittsburgh Penguins because Evgeni Malkin will be out two months after knee surgery. Plus, Sidney Crosby could miss the start of the season because he’s recovering from wrist surgery

The Penguins will also use defenseman Juuso Riikola in the lineup. He has a chance to win a job on the Pittsburgh Penguins’ defense. Coach Mike Sullivan’s team recently made some cuts.

The Red Wings have another game on Monday at home against the Chicago Blackhawks. That will be their third game in three days. Then they play Wednesday at the Columbus Blue Jackets.
