In retrospect, Ken Holland admits his departure from the Detroit Red Wings was best for both parties.

In a far-reaching interview with Vancouver Hockey Now’s Rob Simpson, soon-to-be Hall of Famer Holland is admitting that his moving on to become GM of the Edmonton Oilers and Steve Yzerman’s ascension to GM of the Red Wings was the right move.

“It was time for change,” Holland said.
