When Alex Nedeljkovic gave up seven goals on opening night it was a fitting reminder that he wasn’t in Carolina anymore. The Carolina Hurricanes, his former team, boast one of the NHL’s top defenses. The Detroit Red Wings have a defense that continues to be a work in progress.



But since opening night, Nedeljkovic has showed why general manager Steve Yzerman thought it was worth a third-round pick to see if he can be one of their goalie of the future.

Here are the one-month grades for the Red Wings goaltenders
