The Daily: Detroit Prospect Chase Pearson Serves 1-game Suspension
Detroit Red Wings prospect Chase Pearson served his one-game suspension last night while his Grand Rapids Griffins were losing a 2-1 overtime decision to the Chicago Wolves.
Pearson was suspended by the AHL for a butt-ending incident in a game against Manitoba.
If the Red Wings end up with another injury at forward, Pearson could be the next call-up. He has been a consistently effective player for the Griffins. He has nine points in 11 games this season, giving him 31 points his past 39 games with the Griffins. Pearson is 6-3 and can play on a scoring or checking line.
The Griffins’ next game is Friday at the Texas Stars.
