With two days to go before the NHL trade deadline, the rumor mill has added a third shift. Rumor production might be at an all-time high.
Giroux, owner of a no-trade clause, didn’t have the Boston Bruins on his acceptable team list. Boston Hockey Now says Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun is the target now. The Bruins are also thought to be interest in Anaheim’s Hampus Lindholm and Rickard Rakell.
Detroit has not been spared: Detroit Hockey Now lays out Frank Seravalli’s report that the Red Wings are open to trading everyone, anyone except Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond. Thanks only to Seravalli’s report, the Tyler Bertuzzi chatter grows stronger.
Bertuzzi also reported that Dallas Stars’ GM Jim Nill, a former Red Wings executive, has targeted Detroit defenseman Nick Leddy.
The biggest name on the NHL Trade market right now, Claude Giroux, didn’t want to be traded to the Boston Bruins.
Lucas Raymond: Heading into tonight’s Red Wings’ road game in Seattle, Raymond has six goals in his past nine games.
The team: The Red Wings are now closer to the last-place Montreal Canadiens (16 points) than a playoff spot (23 points)
