Obviously, Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has to say the Winged Wheel is his favorite jerseys in the league. But which teams are next on his list?

During a promo for the European NHL Gaming World Championships, Larkin named several jerseys as favorites.

One is Boston. Another is Florida.

Larkin’s other favorite? The iconic Hartford Whalers jersey–now a part of Carolina’s reverse retro series.

But maybe the biggest reveal in the video: Even the talented Larkin struggles to hold a conversation and play NHL 22 simultaneously. Any sports gamer (your humble author included) can attest that full attention must be held on either gabbing or gaming.

Larkin even apologizes for his lack of attention, attributing it to the difficulty of multi-tasking. Asked about the responsibilities of being a captain at the young age of 25, Larkin talks about how he can’t play into the pressure that comes into being the leader.

After his thoughtful answer, the virtual Kings bury a goal on Larkin’s virtual Red Wings, and then another later to finish them off.

Larkin’s response was one many Red Wings fans likely uttered watching last season: “Jesus, that was bad defense.”
