Moritz Seider, Detroit Red Wings

Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond are as important to the Detroit Red Wings’ marketing department as they are to the coaching staff.

Seider and Raymond bobblehead give-away nights are among the highlights of the Red Wings’ extensive promotional schedule released today.

The Moritz Seider bobblehead giveaway will be Dec. 3 in game against Vegas.  The Raymond bobblehead night will be Feb. 25 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Seider and Raymond are the only two current players getting a bobblehead night this season. The other two Red Wings bobblehead nights are for retired players Henrik Zetterberg (March 18 vs. Colorado) and Nicklas Lidstrom (Jan. 21 vs. Philadelphia).

Seider and Raymond collectibles are in demand in the marketplace. On EBay last night, Seider’s 2021-22 Upper Deck ungraded Young Guns rookie cards sold at auction for $158.79.

Aslo on Monday, a PSA 10-graded 2021-22 Seider Upper Deck Young Guns rookie card sold for $507.20.

The Lucas Raymond 2021-22 Upper Deck sold at auction for $99.99 on Monday. They had been selling for $55 to $65 range.

Celebrating 1997 and 1998

Other important nights on the promotional calendar include the 25th anniversary celebrations of the 1997 and 1998 Stanley Cup teams. The celebrations will be on Nov. 3 (vs. Washington) and Nov. 5 (vs. New York Islanders).

Those two teams are rich in popular former Red Wings standouts. Anyone age 34 and older should have good memories of those teams.

Let’s also not forget the Ugly Sweater Giveaway on Dec. 13 (vs. Carolina) and the always popular Star Wars night on Feb. 9 (vs. Calgary).
