David-Pastrnak-Boston-Bruins

The Detroit Red Wings didn’t have interest in Jack St. Ivany, but the Pittsburgh Penguins sure did. There’s a small chance, though, that David Pastrnak could hit free agency, but it’s probably better to pump the brakes there.

But back to one of the more watched college free agents.

On Saturday, they put it to pen and paper, inking the defenseman to a two-year deal. The Boston College product was a third-team all-star in Hockey East and now has his chance to take his game to the next level.

Meanwhile, the lack of a deal with the Boston Bruins and David Pastrnak shouldn’t be a concern to the Bruins fanbase. The winger recognizes that the Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney had other issues to deal with this offseason.

Besides, he still has one year to go on his contract.

Imagine if he makes it to free agency. It could be a frenzy bigger than John Tavares back in 2018.
