Jakob-Chychrun,-Arizona-Coyotes

The NHL’s trade rumor mill is starting up in 2022-23 where it left off at the end of the 2021-22 season. Where will Jakob Chychrun end up?

The big Arizona Coyotes defenseman Chychrun confirmed to Arizona Sports that he wants to be traded to a contender.

“We talked about at the end of last season, my desire to win in this league,” Chychrun told the media outlet.

The Coyotes would like to accommodate Chychrun’s wishes, but they aren’t going to move him unless they receive a strong return. They have been asking for multiple assets, including a first-round pick and a premium prospect. They are looking for at least three assets for the 24-year-old defenseman.

One of Chychrun’s lures he has three years remaining on a contract paying him $4.6 million per season. One drawback to trying to deal him now is that few teams have any cap space remaining.
