Detroit Red Wings
The Daily: Red Wings Unclear Regarding Pysyk’s Status; Canadiens Monahan Sought in Trade Market
Responding to published reports of Mark Pysyk reinjuring his Achilles, Red Wings Derek Lalonde only served to muddy the waters.

There are published reports suggests that Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mark Pysyk suffered a serious setback in his rehab from an offseason Achilles injury. If that is indeed the case, it appears to be news to Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde.
“Not sure on Pysyk,” Lalonde said. “The ups and downs with the skates, I don’t know the exacts on it. He’s been pushing really hard.
“The time frame, I don’t know where he is at. Obviously, we’re on top of everything but things are on their own, a little injury skate, off skate. Not completely clear where Pysyk is.”
Well, that certainly straightens things out.
