Wednesday’s 3-0 win over the Nashville Predators brought a halt ot the six-game winning streak that the Predators were holding over the Red Wings. Friday, the Arizona Coyotes were arriving at Little Caesars Arena in possession of a four-game win streak over Detroit. A 4-3 Red Wings shootout victory put and end to that run.
Next up are the Toronto Maple Leafs, who will be at LCA on Monday. The Leafs have won seven in a row over Detroit. Detroit hasn’t beaten Toronto since February 1, 2019. You have to go all the way back to 2017 to find a Red Wings victory over the Maple Leafs in regulation time.
Red Wings In Case You Missed It
- Taking stock of the Red Wings‘ investment in players
- Veteran NHLer Alex Chiasson is joining the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins
- The Red Wings are pushing back against teams that try to push them around
- Quiet Filip Hronek is playing quietly outstanding on the Detroit defense
Red Wings Next Game
As mentioned above, the Toronto Maple Leafs arrive at Little Caesars Arena Monday for an Atlantic Division clash. Toronto has outscored Detroit 28-13 in the past four games between the two teams at LCA. The Red Wings will debut their reverse retro jerseys in this game.
