With Detroit Red Wings draft picks Marco Kasper and William Wallinder leading the way, Rogle is enjoying the club’s biggest week of the SHL season.

Tuesday, center Kasper, selected eighth overall by Detroit in the 2022 NHL entry draft, was netting the winner as Rogle rallied from a 2-0 deficit to edge Malmo 3-2.

“We just tried to continue playing our game,” Kasper told SHL.se. “Move the puck quickly and find solutions.”

Defenseman Wallinder, the 32nd pick of the Red Wings in the 2020 draft, assisted on Adam Tambellini’s goal that made it 2-2. Saturday, in a 3-1 win over Lulea, Wallinder drew an assist on Tambellini’s game winner.

It’s been a rough season in the SHL for defending regular season and reigning Champions League winners Rogle. Even after the two victories they are sitting 11th in the 14-team league with 28 points from 20 games.
