Marko Kasper, 2022 NHL enry draft prospect

The Austrians have already decided not to bring Marco Kasper to the upcoming World Junior Championships even though he is eligible to play.

The Austrian Federation justified the decision by saying that it wants to put the focus on Kasper playing for the senior team at this spring’s World Championships. The decision is a disappointment for Detroit fans who were hoping to see him play against the world’s best teenagers.

Kasper is Rogle’s No. 1 center with 12 points in 22 games. He’s +10 with a whopping 37 penalty minutes for a Swedish Hockey League team that has been disappointing this season.

Even if Kasper has to start in Grand Rapids, bringing Kasper to North America next season could be the best game plan. He has already established that he is one of the best all-round performers for the 2022 draft.
