The Red Wings are striking against the Lightning.

A lot of skids came to a halt for the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday. Firstly, their 7-4 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning ended a season-high six-game (0-4-2) losing streak. Secondly, a three-game winless run (0-2-1) at Little Caesars Arena when facing Tampa Bay is also over.

You know what else is done like dinner? The Lightning’s hex over the Red Wings.

Detroit has now won three in a row when facing Tampa Bay. the Red Wings have scored 15 goals on the Lightning during those three victories. Prior to this stretch, the last time the Wings won three straight against Tampa Bay was in 2011.

“It feels really good, really good,” Detroit captain Dylan Larkin said. “I think especially against that team.”

Prior to this current three-game run of success, the Red Wings were 5-23-5 in the previous 33 games against the Lightning.
