The Daily: Who Needs a Vegas Goalie?; Vrana Blanked in Griffins Debut
Jakub Vrana began his conditioning stint with the Grand Rapids Griffins Wednesday and couldn’t do enough to prevent them from falling 4-1 to the Rockford IceHogs.
Vrana was playing his first game since October when he entered the NHL/NHL Players Association’s Player Assistance Program. He hasn’t said why he entered the program. Vrana will play in the American Hockey League for three games to regain his game conditioning and timing.

Meanwhile, the Griffins is still trying to find their stride this season. They are 11-15-1 going into Friday game against Milwaukee. Vrana is expected to play there.
