The Daily: Bertuzzi Nets First Bruins Tally; Savage Joins Spartans
Tyler Bertuzzi finally scored his first goal for the Boston Bruins. It came in a 4-2 win against the Montreal Canadiens Thursday. He now has six points in 10 games and is +4.
He is playing a third line role for the Bruins and they are clearly happy with what Bertuzzi gives them. His teammates clearly like his personality. Remember this is a team that already has Brad Marchand.
Boston Hockey Now columnist Joe Haggerty calls Bertuzzi “the right fit.” Based on playing style, Bertuzzi seems like he was born to be a Bruin.
Thank you to everyone at Miami for the past two years. It was a dream come true to play for the RedHawks. With that being said, I’m excited for my next chapter at Michigan State. Can’t wait to get to work. #GoGreen pic.twitter.com/QQWwbTBlPs

Savage Changing Schools
Red Wings prospect Ryan Savage is staying in school, but it won’t be Miami. The Red Wings draft pick announced he’s transferring to Michigan State.
Savage hasn’t explained his decision, but Miami is coming off a difficult season. At this stage, the Spartans are a better team.
Savage is projected as a potential NHL role player, a third line center who can play a two-way game. He has a reputation as smart player, a leader, a hard-working athlete.
