The Daily: Panthers Aren’t Sweating Game 7; Red Wings Keeping Pick

Red Wings vs Panthers

The Florida Panthers are looking at the possibility of being connected to one of the most epic collapses in NHL playoff history.

If the Panthers lose to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 tonight, they become only the second team ever to lead a Stanley Cup Final 3-0 and fail to win the Cup. The only similar situation came in 1942 when the Red Wings led the best-of-seven series 3-0 and then watched the Maple Leafs win four consecutive games to capture.

But Florida Hockey Now’s Colby Guy writes the Panthers are not showing any panic.

“They do not seem worried about all of that,” Guy wrote. “Once up 3-0 on the Edmonton Oilers, the Panthers are approaching Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final with one simple mindset: Find their mojo and focus on winning a hockey game.”
