The Daily: How Badly is Celebrini Injured?; Holl More TOI?
The San Jose Sharks didn’t provide an update about the extent of the injury suffered by No. 1 overall pick Macklin Celebrini during a 3-1 loss to the Utah Hockey Club.
He went down in the second period with a lower body injury and didn’t return to the game. Celebrini was tripped up by Kevin Stenlund. After picking himself up, Celebrini finished his shift and then played one more before exiting the game. Was he removed for precautionary reasons? Or, is it an injury that will prevent a delay in his NHL debut.
It’s unclear.
At the earliest, the Sharks could provide an update this afternoon ET. That Sharks’ practice is scheduled for practice at 11:30 local time (2:30, ET).

Some of these young prospects are indeed standing out. I hope they make a serious push. Enjoying Kasper along with Mazur.
Unfortunately both will be playing in Grand Rapids.
I hear ya. Thoughts on one of them replacing Motte?
Otherwise, when do you think we see these guys? Steve has this roster locked up for next year for the most part.
Fischer, Motte, and Kane only have one year deals I think. I am sure if Kane plays well, Yzerman will try to bring him back again. Personally, I would buyout Copp after this season if he does not improve.
I’m not going to get my hopes up. Allen and Duff keep hinting it’ll be Mazur eventually so I’ll go with that.
I don’t think Yzerman will buy out any player with multiple years left on his contract.
Heck, he’s still paying Abdelkader. 😬
