FanDuel Sports Network is the new home to Red Wings NHL regional broadcasts as of today.

You have to change the channel to watch local broadcasts of Detroit Red Wings games going forward, but you will need to get used to a name change on those broadcasts.

As of today, Bally Sports Detroit is no more. Say hello to the FanDuel Sports Network. The FanDuel Sports Network is the new television and streaming home for Red Wings hockey. The network has rebranded from Bally Sports, effective today, and will continue to produce and broadcast all Red Wings games except those selected as national TV exclusives.

Other than the name, everything else is unchanged. Channel numbers for FanDuel Sports Network Detroit and FanDuel Sports Network Extra remain the same, and the Bally Sports app has transitioned into the FanDuel Sports Network app.

Play-by-play announcer Ken Daniels will continue to call all the action, along with veteran analyst Mickey Redmond. Trevor Thompson will continue his reporting from rinkside. Red Wings Live will still be airing before and after every regular season Red Wings game. The pre-game show is anchored by John Keating, with Larry Murphy, Chris Osgood, and Danny DeKeyser as analysts. Natalie Kerwin serves as the digital reporter of Red Wings coverage.

First Red Wings Broadcast Under New Banner On Tuesday

The move is the logical next step following Friday’s announcement that the Diamond Sports Group and FanDuel were in an agreement on a broad, long-term commercial partnership. This partnership is including exclusive rights to name Diamond’s 16 regional sports networks and Diamond’s digital offerings, including the direct to consumer product, as FanDuel Sports Network. There is also linear and digital media placement and integration opportunities across all live NBA, NHL and MLB games on the FanDuel Sports Network. Yes, that means Detroit Tigers games and Detroit Pistons games will also be transitioning to the FanDuel Sports Network.

Viewers will see the new brand for the first time on Tuesday. The Red Wings are visiting the New York Islanders. Red Wings Live pregame coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET, with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

FanDuel Sports Network Detroit continues to be widely available throughout the state of Michigan and portions of Northwest Ohio and Northern Indiana through cable providers such as Comcast Xfinity (now on the Ultimate TV package), Spectrum and WOW!; via satellite with DIRECTV; and through streaming providers including DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo. To locate a TV provider in your zip code that carries the network, go to GetMyHomeTeams.com.

Bally App Now FanDuel App

All the network’s Red Wings games will also stream on the FanDuel Sports Network app and at FanDuelSportsNetwork.com.

To access the streaming coverage, fans may continue to authenticate through their pay TV provider. You can also subscribe directly to FanDuel Sports Network. Monthly and annual subscriptions are available. There’s also a Season Pass option that takes fans throughout the 2024-25 Red Wings season. It offers savings of up to 10%.

The Bally Sports app has become the FanDuel Sports Network app. Users who have automatic updates enabled will see the app transition. If not, they will be prompted to update their app. Login credentials remain the same, and subscriptions purchased through Bally Sports will remain active.
