The Detroit Red Wings are back on the road, taking on theĀ  New York Islanders tonight. They’ll be aiming for a second consecutive win on the road after Saturday’s win at Nashville.

It’s one of 16 games in the NHL, with ESPN and its networks providing whip-around coverage of all 16 games.

The Wings, meanwhile,. will be making their debut on the newly renamed FanDuel Sports Network, which replaces Bally Sports as of today.

Both teams will be seeking their third win of the season. The Wings are 2-3, while the Islanders are 2-1-2.

The Wings are still looking to jump-start their sluggish power play, although Dylan Larkin notched a power-play goal on Saturday.

ā€œOur power play has had looks,ā€ Coach Derek Lalonde said Saturday.Ā ā€œI know in the meeting the other day I probably sound like a broken record but weā€™ve been averaging almost six chances a game on it. Our expected goals on the power play is there, almost 1Ā½. But if you donā€™t score, that doesnā€™t matter. We get the goal, and it leads to us winning a period. Itā€™s just momentum. Big that we cashed in, a good sign.ā€

The Islanders will be without winger Anthony Duclair, who was injured in Saturday’s win over Montreal. He had been on the Isles’ top line and had two goals and an assist in five games this season.

The lower-body injury won’t end his season, but Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello said it’s “more long-term than short-term.” Duclair was a major signing in the offseason, for four years and $14 million.
