Detroit Red Wings
Red Wings at Blackhawks: Notes, Lines, Goalies, How to Watch
The Red Wings renew hostilities with an old foe tonight when they travel to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks.
They’ll do so without Tyler Motte, who is close to returning to the lineup, and Justin Holl. who has been the odd man out on the blue line often this season.
Cam Talbot will start in goal for the Wings for the second game in a row.
The Blackhawks (5-7-1) have won three of their last four games. They’re led this season by Connor Bedard (three goals, nine assists), Ryan Donato (six goals) and former Red Wing Tyler Bertuzzi (four goals), who is in the first year of a four-year deal signed over the summer.
Another former Red Wing, goalie Petr Mrazek, is scheduled to be in net for Chicago.
The Red Wings have lost three of their last four games and are still looking to find answers on an offense that has been missing most of the season.
The Blackhawks have seen a surge in offense during their current run of success, but are just 1-3 at home this season.
It will be the second game for Patrick Kane at the United Center since he left the Blackhawks in a trade during the 2022-23 season. In his first game back, Kane scored the winning goal in overtime, assisted by fellow ex-Blackhawk Alex DeBrincat.
