The Daily: Ex-Red Wings Player Slams Karlsson; Edvinsson OT Goal Video
Former Detroit Red Wings player Johan Garpenlov pulls no punches when it comes to assessing how Erik Karlsson is performing for the Pittsburgh Penguins this season.
The former Swedish national team coach takes issue with Karlsson being one of the six players already named to the Swedish team for the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off.

“The flares in his defensive play are too big in a short tournament like this one. Every match will be so significant. Then you cannot afford to make these major mistakes that Erik Karlsson unfortunately makes nowadays,” Garpenlov said on Radiosporten, as reported by SportsExpressen and translated by Google.
Karlsson is minus-7 this season and has had some disconcerting defensive lapses this season.
Garpenlov, 56, started his career with Detroit in 1990-91, scoring 18 goals as a rookie. He was traded to the San Jose Sharks in 1991-92 and played more than 600 NHL games for four different NHL teams.
Red Wings In Case You Missed It
Former Detroit/Grand Rapids goalie Michael Hutchinson signed to play in Finland.
Cam Talbot continued his impress goaltending and Simon Edvinsson netted the game-winner in a 3-2 OT win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The FanDuel Sports Network is launching a plan to allow fans the opportunity to buy Red Wings and Detroit Pistons games on a game-by-game basis.
