Red Wings celebrate
The FanDuel Sports Network is now offering viewers the chance to pay for a one-time viewing of any Red Wings game.

You say that you’re one and done with the inconsistent Detroit Red Wings?

We hear you.

So, evidently, does the FanDuel Sports Network.

The Diamond Sports Group is announcing the addition of single-game pricing to its direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming menu. This feature will be starting December 5. This latest offer marks the first time that a pay-per-game purchase option will be available for NHL games and includes their Red Wings broadcasts.

“The addition of single-game pricing allows fans to now catch their local NBA and NHL teams on a game-by-game basis, enhancing the flexibility of our offering,” Michael Schneider, Chief Operating Officer, Direct-to-Consumer for the FanDuel Sports Network said in a statement. “This is yet another example of how we remain committed to delivering an array of viewing options and features to make it easier for our viewers to watch their favorite teams.”

With no subscription required, this single-game purchase option aims to further connect fans to their hometown teams. Consumers will be able to purchase a single game, starting at $6.99, or choose to sign up for monthly or season pass subscriptions to best tailor their viewing experience.

Bally Sports Detroit was rebranded as the FanDuel Sports Network in October.

Red Wings Games Available Through Prime

FanDuel Sports Network was also announcing this week a partnership with Amazon Prime Video. This multi-year agreement with Prime Video will be enabling direct-to-consumer local access to Diamond’s FanDuel Sports Network’s 16 regional sports networks serving fans in 31 states. Of course, this will include Red Wings broadcasts.

Under the terms of the agreement, FanDuel Sports Network RSNs will be available via Prime Video as an add on subscription for customers living within each team’s designated geographic area.

Customers will be able to subscribe to and watch their local FanDuel Sports Network content directly through Prime Video. This would be including live games and pre- and post-game programming.

More details will be announced at a later date.
