The Daily: Finnish Team Signs Another Ex-Red Wings Player; NHL Rumors
Some people collect trading cards. Others collect coins, stamps or antiques. The Finnish hockey team SaiPa is starting to collect former Detroit Red Wings.
The day after signing goalie Michael Hutchinson, the team signed defenseman Mark Pysyk. He signed with the Red Wings for the 2022-23 season, but didn’t play for them because of two significant injuries.
Pysyk, 32, a right-shot D man, played in the AHL last season. One of Pysyk’s lures is he can play forward as well as defense. He has 521 games on his resume.
