The Daily: Fabbri Has Another Knee Surgery; NHL Rumors

The Robby Fabbri bad injury luck has followed him to the Anaheim Ducks. The Red Wings traded him to the Ducks last summer and he’s already on the injured list a month into the season.



The Ducks announced Fabbri underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Friday and he will be gone six to eight weeks. He had two goals in 14 games for Anaheim.

Fabbri is no stranger to knee rehabilitation. This is his fifth knee surgery, including three involving even longer rehabilitation.

Simon Edvinsson was injured in the 6-4 loss at Anaheim Friday. The Red Wings had no update about his condition after the game.

Captain Dylan Larkin and Co. play the Los Angeles Kings (8 p.m., FanDuel Sports) looking to rebound from last night’s ugly loss to the Anaheim Ducs. To salvage the idea of having a good road trip, they probably need to beat Los Angeles and San Jose on Monday.  Meanwhile, the Grand Rapids Griffins (10-3-1) play at the Milwaukee Admirals today (7 p.m.). The Griffins defeated the Chicago Wolves 5-1 Friday. Austin Watson posted a goal and two assists. Nate Danielson contributed a goal and an assist and Amadeus Lombardi scored his sixth goal of the season.
