There's growing speculation that Cam Talbot of the Red Wings could be one of Canada's goalies in the 4 Nations Faceoff.

The Detroit Red Wings are giving goaltender Cam Talbot the night off. Alex Lyon will be guarding the pipes Thursday as Detroit plays host to the New York Islanders at Little Caesars Arena.

However, some time off that was figuring to come Talbot’s way later in the season may be disappearing. The NHL 4 Nations Faceoff, featuring the national teams of Canada, Sweden, Finland and the USA is set for Feb. 12-20.

There’s growing speculation that Talbot could find himself among the Canadian goaltending selections.
