The Daily: Canucks’ Hronek Out Two Months; Lagesson Down
Former Detroit Red Wings defenseman Filip Hronek will be missing from the Vancouver Canucks lineup for up to eight weeks after undergoing a procedure for a lower body issue.
The report said Hronek will not need surgery for the upper body injury he suffered last week during an overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The news came from Canucks’ GM Patrik Allvin. Hronek’s health is critical to Vancouver’s playoff aspirations because he is Quinn Hughes’ defensive partner. He’s second on the team in playing time, logging almost 24 minutes per game. His plus-minus is at plus-14.
