Take BetMGM, for instance. This sportsbook has the Wings missing the playoffs with favored odds of -286. Detroit to make the playoffs is set with a betting line of +230.

At +230, that means if you bet $100 on Detroit making the NHL postseason, you’d win $230 were the Wings to be a playoff team.
