The Griffins, 3-7-1 in February, have won three of their last four games, and earned at least one point in each of their last five, to pull within two points of the Admirals for first in the AHL’s Central Division. Milwaukee is at 70 points, followed by the Texas Stars at 69 and Grand Rapids at 68.
Cossa stopped 16 of 18 shots to improve to 4-0-2 in his last six games. He has given up 14 goals in those six games. Cossa has given up two or fewer goals in his last four outings.
Red Wings In Case You Missed It
The Carolina Hurricanes’ three unanswered second period goals was enough to doom the Red Wings in Friday’s loss.
Jonatan Berggren has been a healthy scratch for three consecutive games. Coach Todd McLellan says he needs to steal his playing time back from a teammate.
Red Wings defensive prospect Anton Johansson, signed by Detroit this week, will be joining the Grand Rapids Griffins lineup soon.
