Detroit Red Wings
Red Wings at Golden Knights: Notes, Lines, Goalies, How to Watch

The Detroit Red Wings, losers of eight of their last 10 games, are dealing in the stark reality that their playoff push may be for naught.
They’ll begin a stretch of three road games in four days tonight against the Pacific Division-leading Vegas Golden Knights, part of a schedule gauntlet they have been running, unsuccessfully, down the stretch.
Detroit has fallen to 12th place in the topsy-turvy East, four points behind Montreal, behind the Rangers, Blue Jackets and the surging Islanders.
Vegas, whom the Wings beat on Sunday, should be a lot more inspired, the Wings have struggled against Arizona/Utah, and Colorado rounds out the trip.
Meanwhile, the Wings are looking for ways to stop the bleeding.
In addition, injury has been added to insult.
Defenseman Erik Gustafsson is out for the remainder of the regular-season, and Elmer Soderblom will likely miss tonight’s game after injuries sustained at Washington on Tuesday. That leaves an opportunity for Simon Edvinsson.
It’s forcing coach Todd McLellan shuffling plans, adding Austin Watson and Brogan Rafferty from Grand Rapids to fill out the active roster, with fans left hoping for the best.
