Detroit Red Wings
The Daily: Remparts in Trouble vs. Red Wings’ Rudy; Sens In Thursday

Imagine being member of Quebec Remparts of Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League entering a best-of-seven playoff series needing four wins against a goalie who hasn’t lost one QMJHL game all season.
That’s the challenge facing the Remparts.
The No. 8-seeded Remparts face the No. 1-seeded Moncton and goalie Rudy Guimond in a best-of-seven series. Detroit Red Wings prospect Guimond (drafted 169th, 2023) enters the series with a 1.77 GAA and 16-0 record this season in QMJHL play. He started the season playing for Sioux City in the United States Hockey League before joining Moncton. Guimond is also committed to play college hockey for Yale.
The Wildcats (53-9-2-0) are heavy favorites against the Remparts (23-34-3-4).
Guimond is one of two Detroit players competing in the Canadian Hockey League playoffs. The other is Landon Miller (drafted 126th, 2024) who will play for No. 7 Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds against the No. 2-seeded Windsor Spitfires. Miller owns a 4.07 GAA and .877 GAA.
Red Wings In Case You Missed It
The Red Wings received a break Tuesday when their prime competition for the wildcard playoff all lost. That included the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens.
Sebastian Cossa was promoted from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the Red Wings Wednesday because Cam Talbot couldn’t play against Colorado. Cossa served as Alex Lyon’s back-up.
Detroit prospect Emmitt Finnie, a 37-goal scorer for the Kamloops Blazers this season, has joined the Grand Rapids Griffins for the remainder of their season.
