Detroit Red Wings
Red Wings vs. Senators: Notes, Lines, Goalies, How to Watch

The Detroit Red Wings have been reeling as of late, as you’re well aware, but they might get what the doctor ordered tonight when they play host to the Ottawa Senators.
The teams have a contentious history as of late, which makes for entertaining hockey for fans, and perhaps an inspiration for a Detroit team that has been the subject of all kinds of questions about their desire, etc.
They’ll be without Elmer Soderblom, who was injured at Colorado on Tuesday and Petr Mrazek. Cam Talbot, who didn’t dress Tuesday, is expected to suit up.
As far as the standings re concerned, Ottawa sits in seventh place, although the ‘Senators hve lost three of their last four. That includes a loss to Buffalo on Tuesday.
That’s been typical for the Eastern Conference this season where it appears the teams that make the last two playoff spots are the teams that will be hot at the end of the season.
The Wings currently six in 12th spot, but could move up two with a win tonight, and they are three points out of eighth.
They just have to get it going, and now is as good time as any. They can’t wait much longer, not with just 11 games left in the season.
They’re on the precipice of disappearing from fans’ attention. With the Tigers season starting tonight and the Pistons’ meteoric rise this season, fans will soon have other things to root for if the current doldrums continue.
