Red Wings vs. Panthers: Notes, Lines, Goalies, How to Watch

Fresh off a win over Carolina on Friday, the Red Wings face another playoff team in a late-afternoon game when they play host to the Florida Panthers.
Detroit is six points behind Montreal for the final playoff spot and are in a must-win situation, especially with a road game at Montreal coming up on Tuesday.
The Panthers, meanwhile. have lost two in a row and are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. The Red Wings have won four of their last five games at home. There are seven games left, including today, and they have a game in hand on the Canadiens.
Florida is coming off a 3-0 loss at Ottawa on Saturday night, and made some roster moves afterward to shake things up today.
Marco Kasper, meanwhile, has been shaking things up himself for the Red Wings, as has Patrick Kane.
The Red Wings’ chances of making the playoffs are less than five percent, but those are projections, not certainties.
All you have to do is look back to last summer, when the Detroit Tigers’ chances of making the postseason were at 0.2 percent.
It’s not the way to bet, but it’s still possible.
Tuesday’s game at Montreal won’t mean much if the Wings don’t win tonight.
This is the hole the Red Wings have dug for themselves. But they still have a chance to dig out of it, with no room for error.
