The Edmonton Oilers have already said that former Detroit goalie Calvin Pickard won’t play tonight’s Game 4 against the Vegas Golden Knights. That’s tough new for Edmonton fans because Pickard is 6-0 in the playoffs.

Instead, the Oilers will go with Stuart Skinner who is 0-3 in this postseason with a 5.36 goals-against average.

The Oilers haven’t revealed Pickard’s injury, but he appeared hurt himself in Game 2 when Tomas Hertl fell on his leg. He finished that game, an Edmonton victory, but couldn’t play Game 3. Skinner gave up four goals, including one with 0.4 seconds remaining to lose 4-3.

Not all of the momentum changing events are going the Golden Knights’ way. Mark Stone was injured in Game 3 and he is considered questionable for Game 4.

Detroit prospect goalie Rudy Guimond stayed unbeaten (24-0 this season) in Moncton’s 4-3 double-overtime win s against Rimouski in the QMJHL final.
