The Islanders reportedly had Holland high on their list as well. But the Kings (48-25-9) were a playoff team this season, while the New York Islanders (35-35-12) were not.
Holland will inherit a Kings team that ranked second in the NHL with a 2.48 goals-against average. Los Angeles also averaged 3.04 goals per game.
