The Daily: Red Wings Prospect Joins Rudy in QMJHL; Liv’s Son Shines
Detroit Red Wings center prospect Grayden Robertson-Palmer (204th, 2025), as expected, signed with the QMJHL’s Moncton Wildcats, joining Detroit prospect Rudy Guimond who is the Wildcats primary goalie.
The Red Wings are happy to have Robertson-Palmer (5-foot-11, 200 pounds) stationed there because they have a strong respect for Moncton coach Gardiner MacDougall. He’s a coach known for pulling the most out of his players. Robertson-Palmer played prep school hockey last season at Phillips Andover.
Robertson-Palmer is a strong skater, with an offensive touch and a physical game. The Red Wings are hoping they unearthed a gem in the seventh round, like they did with seventh-rounder Emmitt Finnie (201st, 2023). He is among Detroit’s better forward prospects. Finnie will be playing his first full AHL season with the Grand Rapids Griffins this season.
