The Daily: Red Wings Prospect Nets Clutch Goal; Caufield Calls Out Refs
The Detroit Red Wings second-round draft pick Eddie Genborg (44th, 2025) continues to find the spotlight with his play in the Swedish Hockey League.
Genborg scored a tying goal with 37 seconds left in regulation to spark Timra IK to a 3-2 overtime win against Leksands IF. Genborg’s teammate Simon Forsberg scored the game-winner 23 seconds into the extra period.
Genborg, 18, logged 19:47 minutes of ice time to lead the Timra forwards. He finished with three shots on goal and two hits.
On the season, Genborg shows five goals and three assists for eight points in 14 games.
