The Daily: Griffins Lose, Tie An AHL Record; Lightning Pass Red Wings
The Grand Rapids Griffins tied another AHL record by earning a point in their 16th consecutive road game. But the Griffins ended up losing the game 5-4 in overtime to the Milwaukee Admirals.
The other good news for the Griffins is Amadeus Lombardi returned from injury and drew an assist on a goal by John Leonard. Eduards Tralmaks, Ondrej Becher and Nate Danielson also scored for the Griffins.
Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Detroit’s 2024 first-round draft pick, contributed a pair of assists. He has six multi-point games since late November. He has 23 points in 29 games this season for the Griffins.
Sebastian Cossa was in net for the Griffins. The game marked only the second time he has given up more than three goals in a game.
The Griffins’ 29-2-2-1 record (61 pts.) is still the best record in the league history through 34 games
