Dries Thrilled to Stay With Red Wings Organization (DHN+)

When Grand Rapids Griffins forward Sheldon Dries put his name to a contract that will keep him within the Detroit Red Wings organization for two more seasons, well, let’s just say that the smile didn’t leave his face for a couple of days afterward.

“I love it here,” Dries said. “My wife loves it here, my daughter loves it here. Both sets of grandparents can watch our daughter grow up.
