Eduards Tralmaks undoubtedly brought his hockey talent back to North America this season to prove he deserved a shot at the National Hockey League.

He took the first step in that quest by scoring 18 goals in 44 games for the Grand Rapids Griffins and be closer by performing well for Latvia against top NHL players at the 2026 Olympics. Playing on Latvia’s top line, Tralmaks had three goals and one assist on 13 shots on goal. He led the Latvians in scoring.

“He scores goals,” Grand Rapids coach Dan Watson told DHN late last week. ” I think there’s still parts of his game that he can clean up a little bit. I think the defensive side of the puck is probably the biggest thing and we’ve had conversations about that.”
