The Daily: Amadeus Is Griffins Overtime Hero; Larkin Expects Epic Game

Red Wings prospect Amadeus Lombardi scored on a two-on-one break at 3:41 of overtime to give the Grand Rapids Griffins a 2-1 win against the Chicago Wolves.

It was the seventh goal of the season for Lombardi who also assisted on Michael Brandsegg-Nygard’s 10th goal of the season. It gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead in the first period. The Griffins are now 29-0 this season when they score first.

Goalie Michal Postava posted 31 saves to raise his record to 10-3-0.

The Griffins have won five in a row and seven out of their last eight. Grand Rapids has a record of 39-7-2-1 (81 points).  They Griffins are in Milwaukee tonight 7 p.m. ET with Sebastian Cossa expected to start in net.
