The Daily: Top-Ranked CHL Teams Rely On Red Wings Draftees; NHL Trade Rumors

The WHL’s Everett Silvertips are No. 1 in the CHL rankings and 2025 Detroit Red Wings first-round pick Carter Bear is a big reason for that.

Since Jan. 31, Bear owns two four-point games and four three-point games. Over 11 games, he boasts 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points. Bear has 31 goals in 43 games.

The Silvertips, leading the CHL with 47 wins, are Memorial Cup favorites.

The Red Wings also have a connection to the No. 2-ranked Moncton Wildcats. No. 1 goalie Rudy Guimond (169th, 2023).  He is 32-6-3 with a 2.36 GAA and .922 save percentage. Over two seasons with Moncton, the 6-foot-4 Guimond is 48-6-3.
