The Detroit Red Wings are officially unveiling plans for the broadcasting of games for the 2026-27 NHL season. On Monday, the organization unveiled Detroit SportsNet. It’s a subscription streaming service that will carry Red Wings and Detroit Tigers MLB games.

Red Wings games will be available through the new service beginning with the 2026-27 NHL season. Tigers games will be streaming on Detroit SportsNet starting with the 2026 MLB season. Other than games selected for national telecasts, local fans can watch all Red Wings and Tigers games through this new service.

The price for an annual subscription will be $189.99. Monthly subscriptions can be purchased at a rate of $19.99 per month.

This service will replace the FanDuel Detroit Sports Network, which will cease to exist at the end of the 2025-26 season. Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond will continue to be the broadcasters of Red Wings games on Detroit SportsNet.

Expectations are that coverage for Wings games will remain as-is on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit through the end of the current season. No changes or action are required from fans.

Additional Services May Be A Requirement To Access Red Wings Games

Detroit SportsNet will be available on many cable and satellite providers throughout Michigan. It will also be accessible through in-market streaming subscriptions. An announcement regarding specific providers and channel locations will be coming closer to the start of the season.

If your billing zip code is in the home television territory of the Red Wings, you can subscribe directly to Detroit SportsNet. You can sign up for online streaming at a monthly or annual rate. Subscriptions will automatically renew every year on April 1.

For Wings fans living outside of the club’s home television territory, things are different. They will still require a subscription to the NHL Center Ice package or to ESPN+ Power Play. These are the out-of-market viewing platforms for NHL games.

The team will be sharing details on how to use a Detroit SportsNet subscription to watch the 2026-27 Wings season this summer.
