In 2020, the Boston Bruins lost out in the bidding for Barclay Goodrow just before the NHL trade deadline. The Bruins don’t want miss out in their second chance to obtain him. Goodrow was a vital middle six forward on back-to-back Stanley Cup championships.
Boston Hockey Now is reporting that the Bruins will aggressively pursue Goodrow in the free agent marketplace.
Goodrow, 6-foot-2, 210, is hard to play against, and plays a hitting style. He’s expected to seek a significant raise from the $900,000 he was paid this past season.
Goodrow’s Tampa Bay teammate, Blake Coleman, will also be a hot commodity in the free agent marketplace.
